LEFT from the fork: a bend leads to a closed door with a pull handle. Iraena's familiar saw a small room beyond it with benches, a bare table and an inner bolt. Iraena later mentioned the room as possible shelter; it has not been secured as safe.

Vault 7 — map & explored routes
Reviewed through round 30. Later discoveries and changes take precedence. This is a summary of confirmed information, not a recovered copy of the original survey sheet.
Confirmed on the survey map
The party already owns Sterling's survey map of the vault interior, supplied with the access device. It is not a regional travel map.
Confirmed map details: the entrance passage, its bend, and the fork into left and right branches. The surviving record does not establish the remaining markings or either branch's final destination.
Added from exploration · through round 30
Route connections only, not a scale drawing. These observations were reported in the story; they are not extra markings claimed for Sterling's map.
RIGHT from the fork: a drainage groove leads to a floor grate, with a stone margin around it. The drain turns under a wall; its destination and the grate's strength remain unverified.
Twenty feet beyond the grate: a wall shutter labelled MAINTENANCE / MINERAL SAMPLES. At the round-30 review its bolt was engaged. The nearby diagram gives VENT, BALANCE, RELEASE; no control had been operated.
The right passage continues past the shutter. Iraena scouted thirty feet beyond it and saw a right-hand bend another twenty feet ahead. The view ends at that corner; what lies beyond is unconfirmed.
Using the map
Use the entrance, bend and fork to orient yourself. The explored right branch reaches the maintenance/sample shutter; the left branch reaches the possible shelter. The contract is to investigate the railway interference near Vault 7. Its source has not yet been located, and the shutter label does not establish it as the solution.
- Remembering the map and using its confirmed route information is legitimate. Wanderer recalls maps and geography already seen; it does not reveal unseen hazards or new destinations.
- The confirmed briefing contains no specific interior enemy or trap list, and no guarantee of safety before a collapse or barricade. A map is not a live report of occupants.
- Missing recorded details do not mean the physical map is blank, damaged or unreadable. Further map markings need an established source or an explicit DM ruling, rather than a guessed recollection.
- A useful map can settle navigation without a roll. It does not grant automatic advantage on every check. No apparent creature is not the same as a cleared or trap-free area.
